Dr Mitra Najafi is the Founder and CEO of Pplus Skin Care Ltd (UK), and Pplus Medical Ltd (Ireland) and where she leads the company’s mission to revolutionise regenerative medicine through innovative, patient-centric PRP technologies.

A graduate in Dental Surgery from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, Dr Najafi pursued advanced training across multiple disciplines, including cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry, CAD/CAM dental technology, and non-surgical anti-ageing treatments. Her clinical excellence earned her three nominations for UK Dentist of the Year, two Clinic of the Year nominations, and two awards for the UK’s Best Patient Care.

Dr Najafi was an early adopter of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapies in the UK, earning advanced diplomas from BTI institute in Spain and pioneering the use of PRP for both skin and dental applications. She founded and successfully exited Stardent, her multi-award-winning Aesthetic clinic, before turning her focus entirely to solving a challenge her patients voiced time and again: the need for PRP without painful injections.

Four years of self-funded research and development led to the invention of the ARIAN™ technology, a patented, non-invasive PRP application system that has become the world’s only CE-marked platform for topical PRP delivery. Over 10 years of dedicated research and development, Dr. Najafi has built Pplus into a company whose clinical and research products are now used across four continents.

Her work has been recognised by Innovate UK, Horizon 2020, and the European Commission, which awarded Pplus the prestigious Seal of Excellence. Today, Dr Najafi continues to drive innovation in Regenerative Medicine and Platelet research, scaling up production and launching new products globally.

Fluent in Swedish, Persian, and English, Dr Najafi brings a truly international perspective to her work – one rooted in deep clinical expertise, patient empathy, and an unwavering commitment to making advanced regenerative medicine accessible to all.
